How Being Creative Has Helped a Hampshire Photographer’s Mental Health

One of the things the last year has taught us is to slow down… Life was so fast-paced it seemed difficult to see how anyone would slow down. Then the virus hit us all. Lockdown has forced us to do things in a very different way and for some, this is going back to nature and appreciating the small things around us – which are actually the big things!

Tonic Music is a wonderful Charity based in Portsmouth on the South Coast of England. Tonic raises Mental Health awareness, challenges stigma and promotes well-being through Music & Arts.

How I Became a Professional Photographer

Hi, I’m Jayne and I am a Hampshire Photographer with a passion for marine life. My life today as a professional photographer is about as far removed as it could be from where I once was!I had a stressful IT job in London and spent years travelling from the South Coast of England up to London and around the country. It felt like I was constantly on a hamster wheel of wake up, travel, work, travel, work, repeat with very little sleep and a whole heap of stress.
